Concealment of 150 million euros: Many remember the famous scandal of 2016 around football players also called the "Football leaks". Cristiano Ronaldo will be suspected of having concealed 150 million euros in tax havens since 2008 from the Spanish tax authorities.

In 2017, the Madrid prosecutor's office filed a complaint against Cristiano. His tax return between 2011 and 2015 did not appear to match the footballer's actual income. All this thanks to a financial package dating from 2010 in which he cedes his image rights to a company in the British Virgin Islands and then cedes the effective exploitation of these rights to a company in Ireland to hide most of his income to the Spanish tax authorities. Fraud is estimated at 14.7 million euros in 2017.

On January 22, Cristiano Ronaldo will be fined 18.8 million euros and a 23-month suspended prison sentence.
