His conflict with Guy Forget, coach of the France team: In 2004, Amélie Mauresmo, at the height of her career, refused to join the France team, led by Guy Forget; this in order to give more chance to his solo career. A refusal which displeased the team captain and which gave rise to numerous disputes.
His speeding: Amélie Mauresmo lives in Switzerland like many tennis professionals and has a Swiss driving license. We can say that it saved her because in October 2014, she was caught at 160km / h on the highway with her Porsche 911 Carrera, not once but twice, an hour apart. First, the gendarmes of Beaune then those of Chalon-sur Saône arrested her.
The Swiss license, not having the point system, she only had to pay a fine to get back behind the wheel of her car.
